“Lake Creek Wranglers”
Original pencil drawing by Teresa Schleigh
“In 1936 Floyd Charley started the first 4-h Beef club in Jackson County, Oregon with a hand full of local ranchers kids. One of those seven little boys was Charles Stanley, who went on to become a long time cattle rancher in the area. “Uncle Charley” as he is known to just about everybody, kept every kid around on the top side of their horses, out of trouble and maybe even alive in some cases. In this drawing, it is Uncle Charley’s hand that is reaching down to Wade Perry, the Great, Great Grandson of Floyd Charley.”
